In the past two years, we have collaborated with governments, charities, academic institutions, and civil society organizations to drive social, political, and economic change.
In a time marked by significant environmental, social, political, economic, and technological disruptions, we are dedicated to understanding people's lived experiences and the realities that shape them, while translating policy into practice to enhance lives.
Addressing challenges
Supporting long-term development
Through our ongoing collaboration with the Ministry of Health in Somaliland, we will focus on researching areas with gaps, presenting our findings to the Ministry, and taking actionable steps for effective progress. Supporting economic growth and good governance for the poor ,We work to establish new partnerships that generate millions of dollars in additional tax revenue, which can be reinvested into the national development of countries. Taxation is a key focus for policymakers as a primary means of financing sustainable development. In Somaliland, for instance, the government has made it a priority to enhance health services, improve education, strengthen tax collection to lessen reliance on foreign aid, and boost public spending in critical areas like infrastructure, education, agriculture, and health. In partnership with the Somaliland revenue agency, CDC researchers are assisting in the development of a more efficient and effective tax system that will promote economic growth and good governance
